March 2013 Meetings

Livable Claiborne Communities is about livability, opportunity, and sustainability in neighborhoods along Claiborne Avenue and the role of the avenue as a regional connector. As stated in the original grant, the study shall: “Analyze potential infrastructure investments along the inter-parish Claiborne Communities and its transects to improve transit; connect housing to jobs, schools and healthcare; manage soil and water; and promote livable communities as economic development.” The study will explore how this key transportation corridor can support community revitaliza¬tion and help generate and integrate new initiatives, while continuing to serve as a critical transportation link for the rest of the city and adjoining parishes.
